In 2018, more than 230 "NUN Runners" participated in the 3rd Annual NUN Run to benefit St. Joan Antida High School (SJA). For those who are unfamiliar, the NUN Run captures all of the fun of a charity run/walk without the need to actually run or walk! Participants from across the country register and form teams to raise money and awareness in support of SJA. On February 18, we gathered at Three Lions Pub in Shorewood for the post-race Refueling Party.
There were many familiar faces in the crowd including a strong showing from the Sisters of Charity and the SJA Alumnae Association, but there were also newcomers who had seen Sr. Monica on the morning news and showed up to learn more.
"My favorite thing about this event is the synergy that is in the room at the Refueling Party," said Joel Cencius, Director of Development and Communications. "Whether you attended the school, know someone who did, or you simply support the mission of SJA, this event brings all of us together to celebrate SJA and the Sisters who made it possible."
