St. Joan Antida High School's (SJA) 25th Annual Auction, Inspired Change: Redefining the 21st Century Woman, was a tremendous success thanks to the many alumnae, friends, donors, and volunteers who joined in support of our students on Saturday, April 28. Raising more than $244,000, this year's event set new milestones including a new record for the silent auction raising $40,595 alone!
More than 290 guests filled the school for a memorable evening. The night included raffles, silent and live auctions. However, just as the night was winding down, a surprise drove in for the Raise the Paddle scholarship auction. A radio controlled Packers cooler, complete with headlights and Bluetooth speakers, rolled in for the last bidder at the $100 level. The ensuing bidding war was finally won by Sister Monica Fumo, SCSJA, with a little help from her friends.
The event celebrated SJA's long-standing commitment to empowering young women through education. To see this impact, guests needed only to look at their plates as all enjoyed delicious meal, provided by alumna owned Antigua Latin Inspired Restaurant.
Thank you to our Auction Co-Chairs, Ginny Finn, '78 and Sue Hickey, our Auction Committee, and all of our Sponsors and Supporters for helping us raise critical funding for our students!
