The St. Joan Antida High School (SJA) Alumnae Association promotes ongoing alumnae participation in sustaining the SJA mission of educating and empowering young women.

Additional goals of the SJA Alumnae Association include:

Fundraising event support (such as SJA’s Spaghetti with the Sisters held annually on the first Sunday in November)
Opportunities for alumnae to reconnect with one another through mission-based activities
Opportunities for alumnae to give back to the school in a manner that reflects their many interests and talents

The SJA Alumnae Association originated as an alumnae networking organization, and has grown over the years to encompass networking, volunteering, and supporting the mission of SJA. The association now serves the school through gifts of time, talent, and treasure.

SJA Alumnae News: Announcing the 2022 SJA Alumnae Directory Project

St. Joan Antida High School (SJA) has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to collect and update contact information of our alumnae. This information is critical to keeping our SJA database updated – and our alumnae community connected! Additionally, it’s time for a more accurate edition of our alumnae directory which was last printed in 2004.

The success of this endeavor truly relies upon YOU.

Starting the week of Feb. 21 you will receive communication from PCI—watch for postcards and emails with instructions regarding how to submit your information. In May, PCI will begin phoning. The purpose of the outreach is to verify and update your contact information. We encourage everyone to participate in verifying and/or updating contact information, however there is NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE ANYTHING to do so. All purchases (e.g., the hardcover book, digital variant of the book, SJA apparel), will be transacted through PCI.

Q: I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and said they were working with St. Joan Antida High School. Is this a legitimate project or is it a scam?

A: It’s legit! St. Joan Antida High School (SJA) has partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new alumnae directory. PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation for almost 100 years.

This project allows SJA to receive important updates to our database so we can better serve our alumnae – and keep our graduate community connected.

Q: Does SJA benefit from this at all?

A: Yes, in a few different ways:

Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage alumnae
Legacy – preserves the history of our school
Revenue – generates non-dues revenue for alumnae programs
Pride – wearing apparel shows support and love for our school

Q: How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?

A: PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law. SJA has a contractual agreement with PCI that states the following:

‘To ensure the confidentiality of [St. Joan Antida High School’s] alumnae data, [PCI] will not make the database available to any third parties, except to [PCI’s] third party providers for the project (e.g., research services, printer, etc.) with which [PCI] has signed confidentiality agreements, or except as required under any law, governmental rule or regulations or court order.’

Upon completion of the project, PCI will redact PII (Personal Identifiable information) from any and all electronic files that we have supplied or were produced by PCI in connection with the production of the directory.

Q: I would like to verify or update my information. How may I do this?

A: If you received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a representative from PCI who is working on the SJA Alumnae Directory project. He/she will verify the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. If you received an email with an embedded link, simply click the link to go to the secure online site to review and update your information.

Q: Can I choose what information prints in the directory?

A: When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative if you prefer any of your information be excluded. You can also communicate your preferences to PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 1-800-982-1590 or customerservice@publishingconcepts.com or to SJA directly at Alumnae@SaintJonaAntida.org

Q: Why are they asking me to purchase something?

A: As part of the agreement with PCI, they will be selling both print and digital copies of the directory as well as SJA spirit wear. There is no obligation to purchase and if you feel your representative was unprofessional in any way or you felt pressured to purchase a package please call PCI’s customer service at 1-800-982-1590 to report your call. You may also alert our team at (414) 274-4728. This process is meant to be fast, simple, and easy and you should never feel pressured to make a purchase.

Q: Can anyone purchase a directory?

A: The St. Joan Antida High School Alumnae Directory is available for sale only to St. Joan’s alumnae. **You will be listed in the directory whether you decide to purchase a copy or not (but again, only with the contact information you give permission for).

Q: If ordered, when will I receive my directory?

A: The total duration of the directory project from initial outreach to alumnae to directory release, is about 12 months. For the SJA project, expect delivery in the spring of 2023.

Q: I ordered a directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?

A: Contact PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 1-800-982-1590 or customerservice@publishingconcepts.com and they will take care of this for you.

Greetings from the Alumnae Association President!

Hello! I am Kelly Martyka, class of 2004, and chair of the SJA Alumnae Association. Every graduate, from every year, no matter where you are now and what you are doing (which we would love to know about) are members of the alumnae association. We are here to connect you back to SJA through volunteer opportunities, networking with other graduates, and sending updates and information on SJA activities and events. We have a small leadership committee that is always looking for ways to keep in touch with graduates and current students – and always looking for more input and membership, so please join our committee!

SJA means so many different things to different generations and to each student. But we are all cut from the same SJA cloth. There are stories, teachers, legends, and love that we were taught and carry with us throughout our lives. And many of those stories are connected through those formative high school years. The SJA Alumnae Association is a great place to share those beautiful memories, and to further the mission of SJA.

Most importantly, we’d love for you to get or remain involved! I’d encourage you to join our committee, sign up as a volunteer, or just make sure we have all your updated contact information! Please keep your eye out for our quarterly pop-ins – some virtually and some in-person (usually with custard involved) and other event or volunteering opportunities (the Gala or Spaghetti Dinner)! We’re always interested in places to host (or hosts of) in-person pop-ins (have sandwich board, will travel) or connecting you with other alums from your class or others!
