In the spirit of celebrating our all-girl environment, we refer to the young women in our 9th grade class as Freshwomen. Below is the admissions process for a current 8th grade student in order to gain acceptance and enroll at SJA for 9th grade:
STEP 1
Submit the 2021-22 Application for Admission.
Please be sure to include appropriate signatures, have the student complete their personal statement, and verify that the contact information from the student’s current school is accurate.
PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Friday, January 15, 2021
STEP 2
Apply for Financial Aid
Submit a CHOICE application or Contact the Director of Admissions and Enrollment for more aid options.
Families are encouraged to apply for the Wisconsin/Milwaukee Parental Choice Program. This program is used to help cover the cost of tuition and fees, and the application will be available for the 2021-2022 school year on Monday, February 1, 2021.
STEP 3
Following review of your application, a formal transcript request will be sent to your current school directly from the Office Of Admissions at SJA.
If you would like to supply SJA with these materials the following information will be included in the request and you can turn them in directly to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment.
- Most recent 8th grade report card/progress report
- Final 7th grade report card
- Most recent standardized test scores
- IEP or 504 Plan Information (if applicable)
- Behavioral Report (form provided by SJA)
- Attendance Report
- Access Scores (if applicable)
FIRST ROUND ADMISSION DECISION NOTIFICATIONS:
Friday, December 18, 2020
Because the process of Admission is separate from actual Enrollment, all families that are accepted and looking to attend SJA are then required to schedule an Enrollment Meeting.
STEP 4
An Enrollment Meeting will be scheduled by The Office of Admissions following acceptance to SJA with School Administration. This 45-minute meeting will require you and your family to meet with our Principal in order to discuss your transition to high school.
Bi-lingual sessions are offered upon request.
NOTE: Enrollment is contingent upon the review of your admissions application and materials and attending your scheduled enrollment meeting. Reminder the 2020-2021 school year Wisconsin/Milwaukee Parental Choice Program does not open until February of 2021.
