Ruth Lopez 

Director of Admissions and Enrollment


Ruth Lopez is the new Director of Admissions and Enrollment at St. Joan Antida High School (SJA). She is a proud Alverno College Alumna and received her B.A. in Community Leadership and Development in May 2017. Ruth is currently enrolled at Northeastern University to obtain her Master of Legal Studies degree.

In her previous position as Coordinator of Latino Student Engagement at Alverno College, she focused on assisting Latino students and their families on navigating college resources. She was instrumental in creating and implementing the Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) strategic plan for the college. Prior to that, she worked as an admissions counselor to introduce the college to potential students and families and to increase Latino student enrollment.

Ruth is a member of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, the Hispanic Collaborative, and Marquette HSI Community Board. She also serves on the Board of Directors for St. Anthony Schools. In her current position at SJA, she is on the leadership team that is helping to move SJA forward as they celebrate their 65th year.

Ruth is a mother to four wonderful children, and believes that each child deserves to be in an educational environment in which they will thrive in. A Chicago native, Ruth has lived in the southside of Milwaukee for 25 years and has a passion for helping her community obtain educational resources.
