Elizabeth Lingen, '93
Elizabeth Lingen has worked in Catholic higher and secondary education for her entire professional career. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with emphasis on Global Studies and History from Alverno College. She is also a licensed teacher in the disciplines of History and Broadfield Social Studies. Lingen recently completed her Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership and Director of Instruction from Alverno College.
For the first twelve years of her career, she served as an Admissions Director at both the college and high school level. She is a proud 1993 graduate of St. Joan Antida High School and chose to return to the school in 2007 to serve the mission that was foundational in her own development as a young adult. Lingen has discovered that living out the mission of the school is one of her greatest professional rewards and is happy that she can honor her alma mater through her work with current students and families.
Lingen finds that the most exciting part of her day is watching students take pride in their own learning process. She believes that, regardless of varying learning styles and needs, all students should expect their school will create an environment that challenges them to reach their highest potential. Helping students to achieve high expectations must come with support and guidance on how to reach those goals. Schools must find ways to give students multiple pathways by which to reach the expectations and goals they have set for themselves. She believes in working alongside teachers and other school staff to create an environment at SJA that helps everyone to be successful at their own learning and enjoys the process along the way!
