St. Joan Antida High School resumes classes virtually this fall

After many discussions, St. Joan Antida High School will begin classes virtually, starting Monday, Aug. 17 (grade 9) and Tuesday, Aug. 18 (grades 10-12). Every student will be given her own SJA Chromebook to use. We believe starting virtually is in the best interest of our students, their families, and our faculty to keep everyone safe and healthy. Please refer to our "SJA Learns Away" document for more information regarding our plans for the start of school. For current families, please refer to our virtual learning page that contains information on what is needed before your daughter resumes classes this fall.

In addition to virtual learning, we are developing a plan to provide three hours of in-person time for our students. This would begin in September and would occur every other week. During this limited in-person time, we will provide an opportunity for students to see classmates and faculty as well as receive the social, emotional, and academic support they need. We know how important the relationships our students form at SJA are to her educational experience. We hope these in-person sessions in small groups will continue to strengthen our connections until we can all be together again. We are calling these in-person experiences **Connection Circles.

**Please note that we will have our plan approved by the Milwaukee Department of Health before we bring any of our students back to SJA for the in-person Connection Circles. This plan will ensure we are following required COVID guidelines. It is very important that we keep everyone in the SJA Community safe.
