St. Joan Antida High School Names Elizabeth Lingen Principal

The St. Joan Antida Board of Directors, with the full support of the Sisters of Charity of St. Joan Antida, unanimously voted to name Elizabeth Lingen Principal of St. Joan Antida High School (SJA) effective July 1. With this appointment the school will be returning to a President/Principal model for its key leadership roles.

Lingen has worked in Catholic higher and secondary education her entire professional career. In addition to her strong academic experience as Assistant Head of School, Lingen has also served on the school's Leadership Team as Dean of Students and Director of Admissions during her 11 year tenure at St. Joan's. Prior to her experience at SJA, Lingen was an Admissions Director at both the high school and college levels. She is a proud 1993 graduate of St. Joan Antida High School. Lingen is a double alumna of Alverno College earning both her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the all-women college. Lingen also is a licensed teacher in History and Social Studies.

"I am delighted to be able to serve my own alma mater, and the current families of SJA, through this transition at our school," said Lingen upon learning of her appointment as Principal. "I look forward to working with the teaching staff to ensure we plan well for a successful and exciting school year in 2018-19. We had many successes this past year and I am grateful to work with the rest of the school's Leadership Team to continue positive momentum going forward."

St. Joan Antida High School has at its core the goal to serve a culturally and economically diverse student population, preparing young women to become leaders in their community. The Board of Directors and the Sisters of Charity of St. Joan Antida remain committed to the mission of the high school and ensuring its continued success. This leadership transition has positioned the school to build a new chapter in preparing young women for the 21st century. The Board of Directors is currently working to form a search committee to begin the process of finding the school's next President.
