SJA Blood Drives Save Lives and Provides Scholarship for SJA Student

This school year, St. Joan Antida High School (SJA) hosted two American Red Cross blood drives, collecting 30 pints of blood and potentially saving 90 lives!

As a result of our efforts, one senior was selected to receive a $250 scholarship from the American Red Cross. Congratulations to senior Emily Quezada-Jimenez for receiving a $250 scholarship from the American Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter. Quezada-Jimenez will apply this scholarship towards her first semester of studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.

This year, two seniors, Emily Quezada-Jimenez and Sara Mitchell, each donated four pints of blood during their SJA career. Both Quezada-Jimenez and Mitchell will be wearing special red cords from the American Red Cross at this year's graduation.

Special thanks to Ms. Kosiboski for organizing our SJA blood drives!
