Kristen Wagner, a 2009 SJA graduate who is currently studying Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota, writes about her experience at SJA and the influence her classes made on her future career.

“I matured and grew scholastically, mentally, and religiously.  I became a young woman that felt ready and prepared to face life’s challenges whether they arise from school or personal life…It taught me to concentrate on the most important goals in life and just go forward achieving as much as possible, no matter what negativity is thrust at me or what challenges I face.”

On January 31^st, the first Latina to serve in the state Legislature, Jocasta Zamarripa, met with the AP US Government class, leading one of Saint Joan Antida High School’s Leadership Luncheons. This cordial woman is a very proud Latina, a community leader, and a Saint Joan Antida Alumna—class of 1994.
