“Scholarship for a Student” allows individuals, companies, corporations, and foundations to financially assist students by paying a portion or all of their tuition and school year costs.  This is a way to be personally involved in the lives of the future leaders of Milwaukee. 

BEQUESTS
A simple and common form of a planned gift made through a donor’s will.  Bequests provide the donor an advantage of reduced gift and estate taxes without parting with their assets until after their death.  Distributions can be made either in specific dollar amounts or as a percentage of one’s estate.  

EMPLOYEE MATCHING GIFTS
Many companies will match contributions made by their employees to tax-exempt schools.  This gift may be double or tripled the amount pledged by the employee.  Simply complete and attach your employer’s Matching Gift form when sending in your donation.  SJA will then complete their half of the form and send it to your employer.  We offer recognition for your gift along with that of your employer in our Annual Report.

IN-KIND GIFTS

SJA welcomes donations and services that will benefit our school.  The donor determines the gift value through appraisal, record of purchase or billing statement.

MEMORIALS

Gifts may be made in memory of and/or to honor a member of your family or the school’s family that has passed away.  Memorial gifts may be made in sponsorship or a scholarship of a SJA student.  Families will be notified when these gifts are received.

SECURITIES

Stocks, bonds and mutual funds are another way to donate to SJA.  These types of gifts not only provide a full, fair market value tax savings to the donor, it is another way to avoid paying capital gain taxes while assisting our students.
