Class of 2008
In 1954, five Sisters of Charity and one lay teacher courageously stepped into
the unknown, following their vision of educating girls for leadership and service.
Those pioneer women could only imagine the hundreds of young women who
would follow the first 47 students of St. Joan Antida High School. On the
afternoon of June 1st, 2008, one of the founding faculty, Sr. Mary Cecilia Tagliavia,
along with Sr. Maria Lucia de Luca, who both dedicated many years of service to
St. Joan's, along with representatives from the first graduating
class led the fiftieth graduating class.
