CLUBS Art Club
The SJA Art Club is a way to get more art into your life and more life into your art. Meet with other students who share your passion for art. The only prerequisite for joining this group is that you enjoy art and like dabbling, discovering and doing. Art Club can give you time outside of classes to get creative and have a good time with people who have similar interests.
Book Club
The Book Club is made up of a group of students who love to read. They vote on books to read and meet monthly to discuss the selected books.
Forensics Club (Team)
Meet new friends, travel to many other schools, develop speaking skills and earn ribbons, medals and trophies via the SJA Forensics Team. Forensics meets are held on Saturdays during second semester. Forensics builds self-confidence and poise.
Latina Club
The purpose of this club is to learn about the Hispanic Culture. You don’t have to be a Latina to join.
Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors help with many areas of school, from admissions to special events. Ambassadors host shadow students during the day, when a student from another school comes to experience life as an SJA student. They accompany the admissions director on school visits, and help out at events such as the annual Auction and the Fall Festival. For more information on Student Ambassadors, or to shadow a current ambassador, please contact Ms. Stengel at 414-272-8423 ext. 109 or estengel@saintjoanantida.org.
GO MAD (Go Out, Make A Differenc)
GO MAD serves as the Student Council at St. Joan's. Members of GO MAD are Juniors and Seniors. Students who have demonstrated school spirit, leadership, responsibility and willingness to get involved make up the Members-at-Large body of GO MAD. Each spring, the Juniors and Seniors hold elections to elect their class President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer. Some GO MAD activities include:
- Pep Rallies, Scavenger Hunts, Dress-Up Days
- Food and Personal Needs Drives, Teddy Bear Drive
- Beautification Projects
- Class Competitions
- Student of the Month
- Many, many more!
Contact Mrs. Krause at lkrause@saintjoanantida.org for more information.
Peer Mediators
Peer mediation is a program which allows students to help each other solve conflicts. When a conflict occurs between two students in the school, a request for mediation is made and the two students and two mediators meet together to work on resolving the problem. This provides students with a safe, confidential place to voice their opinion of the conflict. Students wishing to become a Peer Mediator must apply and go through a selection process. Peer Mediators are then trained and attend monthly meetings. For more information, please contact our guidance counselors, Ms. Schaer, kschaer@saintjoanantida.org or Ms. Woods, gwoods@saintjoanantida.org.
